And once again it is the same 3 companies: General Mills, Medtronic and Securian Financial Group.

How they made the list:

General Mills #3 large company:

#1 for benefits

Innovation is built into the fabric of this Minneapolis-based food giant's IT group.

Each employee has written objectives that are directly related to the company's overall goals, the most important being to collectively provide $100 million in value to General Mills, with 10% of that value coming from innovative projects.

A social network helps employees share innovative ideas.
