Event: Recruiting For Minnesota Startups
May 10, 2014
At MinneBar 9 I did not do my “Recruiting For Startups” like I had the previous 3 years… I should have. I spent a good chunk of my day answering questions, giving advice and helping create recruiting strategies.
These are conversations I enjoy… I messed up by not doing the session.
Fortunately this topic fits under the “Black Box” program through Google for Entrepreneurs at CoCo.

If you are like most groups recruiting IT pros, you are to some extent having difficulty sourcing, recruiting and closing candidates.
What is the agenda?
One part presentation and one part discussion. I’m going to cover a lot of ground including:
- Career page content
- Writing better job ads
- Twitter and Facebook
- Creating talent pools
- Employer branding
- Networking
- Closing candidates
While I have a bunch of information I know most startups need… your questions, stories and thoughts are requested.
If you are new to me and wondering why you would want to spend a couple of hours talk about recruiting here is my bio:
