Kipsu, a high growth software solution provider based in Northeast Minneapolis, is seeking an energetic Talent Manager to help grow our team and build out our human resou3rces function. This won’t be a traditional human resources job: in this role, you’ll work directly with our CEO and executive team to shape our company culture, build our team and develop our talent. We are a “policy light, culture heavy” environment. Think Netflix, not IBM.

Here at Kipsu we’re pioneering an entirely new category of software tools that are redefining how service companies interact with their customers. Today, as consumers, we have plenty of ways to talk online about the service we receive but we don’t have the same friction-free ways to engage with our service providers. Kipsu’s solution provides its customer partners with a new way to engage their customers through real time digital channels including text messaging, live web chat and social messaging. We are looking for a “go getter” to join our team who is passionate about the problem that we solve and wants to play a role in helping take our company to the next level as we rapidly scale our business.

SOUND LIKE A GOOD FIT? FANTASTIC. AS OUR TALENT MANAGER YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manage the recruitment of top tier talent across our sales, customer success and engineering teams
  • Perform screening interviews on potential candidates
  • Orchestrate our interviewing process
  • Work hand-in-hand with our CEO to help develop our organization’s culture, including being the custodian of our employee un-handbook
  • Manage employee onboarding
  • Execute regular employee engagement surveys
  • Work with our employee engagement committee and diversity committee to advance the priorities of those teams
  • Oversee our formal performance evaluation processes
  • Assist our managers in employee coaching, evaluation and promotion readiness assessment
  • Manage our career laddering and compensation structures
  • Oversee our employee recognition program
  • Help us with our compensation review process by performing salary and benefits surveys

WE’RE A SMALL COMPANY SO THIS IS MORE OF A GENERALIST ROLE. IN ADDITION, YOU WILL ALSO:

  • Manage our stock option program
  • Become our go-to person on employment legal issues and HR best practices
  • Administer our payroll and benefits
  • Manage preparation for employee gatherings
  • Be a representative for Kipsu out in the local tech community
  • Develop systems for institutionalizing our critical human resources processes
  • Participate in local human resources peer groups to bring back best practices and stay current

FOR QUALIFICATIONS, WE WILL FAVOR CANDIDATES THAT HAVE THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS AND BACKGROUND:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a four year university
  • Five plus years of recruiting and/or human resources experience

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES THAT EXHIBIT:

  • Additional training in human resources management and / or certifications
  • Experience in a startup company environment and demonstrated initiative
  • Eagerness to constantly improve everyday
