The Recruiter is responsible for developing an understanding of the assigned region’s workforce planning needs and developing talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire best-in-class talent for the region. Also, has the ability to assist in recruiting projects globally as needed. Recruits, screens, and interviews job candidates to fill existing and future job openings within an organization through visits to college campuses, social media, and contacts within the larger community.


Sourcing (40%)

  • Proactively researches and investigates innovative sourcing strategies
  • Sources active candidates from online databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals
  • Sources passive candidates through networking, cold calling, social media and Internet research
  • Implements and supports diversity recruiting efforts
  • Serves as an expert in any and all online content –
    forums, blogs, discussion sites – to help reach targeted passive prospects

Recruiting (50%)

  • Aids in the coordination and participates in large scale recruitment events like career days, job fairs and college recruiting
  • Serves as the primary point of contact, promotes and drives social media programs to maintain external enthusiasm for H.B. Fuller
  • Compliance and understanding of EEO, hiring and compensation guidelines
  • Communicates status of selection process to applicants and extend employment offers
  • Interacts with hiring managers regarding all openings and candidate status and ensure all positions are posted internally and externally
  • Meets with hiring manager to discuss upcoming company needs and develops multi-faceted sourcing and recruitment strategies
  • Assists in counseling hiring managers on staffing and recruitment policies and procedures

Administrative (10%)

  • Ensures recruitment files are completed in accordance with compliance standards, which include completion of evaluations, applicant tracking, and other appropriate documentation
  • Tracks recruitment expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary limitations
  • Contributes towards promotion activities specifically linked to H.B. Fuller’s web presence, such as contests and seminars
  • Ensures adherence with all equal employment opportunity (EEO) legislation, and as applicable in their region for example; the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government
    compliance requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years advanced recruiting experience and understanding of
    HR policies and procedures
  • Experience of sourcing and recruiting internationally
  • Self starter, experience working independently
  • Capable of managing multiple, conflicting demands
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, preferably
  • Understanding of OFCCP / Diversity recruiting where relevant
  • Understanding of social media as a recruiting tool
  • Ability to persuade and influence decision makers
