The University of St. Thomas, Department of Enrollment Services, invites applications for a Web Developer.
This position plays a key role in designing, developing and maintaining Internet and intranet based applications to meet the recruitment and enrollment needs of the division. The web has become a major tool in the recruitment of new students for UST. The development and maintenance of our website are essential to the Enrollment Division's ability to meet the goals set by the university including, but not limited to, net revenue, academic profile, and diversity.
The Web Developer conducts market research including determining needs, planning, and programming, testing, and writing content; serves as project manager in charge of design and development projects as well as web-related initiatives including iPad, Android and mobile applications, social media applications and initiatives, technical training and more; participates in project planning sessions and design reviews with other project managers, analysts and team members to analyze our needs and outline and propose solutions and recommendations; manages web interns including designing roles for intern participation, hiring and managing work direction; assesses new development tools and technologies to determine how they could be utilized on future projects and makes proposals to university management on implementing new technologies.

Qualifications: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a field related to the work AND three years of professional experience in interaction/interface web and media design & development field. A Masters degree is preferred.
In addition to technical skills we are looking for candidates who have a creative mind and strive to break existing boundaries in web development; the ability to support complex applications, analyze/resolve issues and work in a collaborative and diverse environment. Experience working with admissions and/or financial aid information would be ideal.
