Are you an unashamed techie? Do people come to you for computer help? The Minnesota Literacy Council has just the volunteer position for you!

Share your skills with adult ESL students in a computer lab setting while working under the direction of a teacher.

No previous tutoring experience is necessary; training is provided. Can you point, click and type? Only basic computer skills are necessary to volunteer.

The suggested time commitment is 2-3 hours once a week for a minimum of 6 months with flexible morning, afternoon and evening opportunities available.

In many of our affordable-housing developments we have community computers available for residents to use. Our residents have varying levels of computer knowledge and inevitably the computers can get bogged down.

Use your skills to help keep the computers working. Get rid of problem programs, and help us know which computers are still viable and which should just go!

This opportunity is VERY FLEXIBLE. Several properties have 24-hour front-desk staff so you could literally volunteer at any hour of the day, any day of the week! No minimum or maximum time requirements. We can come up with a schedule or use your help on-call as needed!

Volunteers monitor our Computer Lab, where our guests learn and implement their computer skills searching for homes or jobs, building resumes, and taking care of personal computing.
