Why A LinkedIn Profile Is Crucial For C-Level Executives

Some LinkedIn User Statistics

I saw the infographic below from Lab 42 a couple of months ago but as I am frequently asked for LinkedIn user statistics I thought I should post it here after seeing it posted again this time on Infographic: How people really use LinkedIn (ragan.com)

The numbers affirm most of what I see as LInkedIn users behaviors although I think the 35% access LinkedIn daily number is a bit high.

I also wonder if maybe the numbers are a bit high because this likely came from LinkedIn users and not from those who have a profile.

The difference being the number of folks who never use or have an orphaned profile. I am assuming they are not part of the survey.

I, on several occasions, thought "there is no way that this is true" - especially the idea that 35% log in daily, that 40% update their picture frequently, and that 26% of users pay for the $20 monthly account... I just do not buy it. This must be a sample only of fairly active users - based on the amount of time that I spend recruiting on LinkedIn, I can say (almost 100% for sure) that 60%+ of users don't log in "A few times a week" or "daily". This is a skewed sample for sure.
