Well… we lived through what has ended up being a 14” to 22” snowfall depending on where in Minnesota you live.
Here in Downtown Minneapolis I am guessing we had around 19” with 17.1” the official storm tally making it the 5th largest storm ever and the biggest since the Halloween storm of 1991 with 28.4”.
Here is what my patio looked like before and after shoveling:
I do not have a lot to shovel but what is tricky is I have a small place to put it so I expect that unless some weird reverse global warming thing happens I will not see the bushes until March.
I stayed inside all weekend getting some much needed rest, doing a little work and watching some funny Tweets by creating a column on TweetDeck for:
These are the common words associated with snow storms.
I was going to create a Top 100 Tweets from the storm but got a little lazy.
OK, not so much collapsed but deflated as a result of the weight of the snow.
This is the third such deflation since it was built.
You can check out a video Fox 9 has of it:
So no Tweets but video of the Metrodome field deflating… that’s pretty cool.
One more video from the storm, a time lapse from St. Paul complete with a special tune:
I did very briefly wander out late today and when I came back started to wonder… what if one cannot reach nor find the parking meter. Then what?
