Minnesota Morning

I have been told by numerous people that my blog has become lame. Since these are friends of mine who have my interests in mind I am going to listen to them.

And it starts today. I don’t know how long it will last but I am going to give it a shot anyway.

Other friends are saying that I am putting my best thoughts on Twitter and Facebook. I think they too are correct. I think I do much better, am far more interesting and funny in 140 characters or less.

But one thing for sure is that I have a lot on my mind. I have a Word document that is open all the time and it is now 104 pages in length of links, articles and thoughts of all varieties that I never get to share and I think it is time to clean out the closet so to speak....

Random thoughts, rambling and rants:

Why did the United States Senate get so much credit the past ten days for their hard work? Sure the health care legislation (whether for against) is major. But what pisses me off is all the glory they received for working on a blizzard like Saturday and for taking a Christmas Eve vote. You would think they were the only ones working those days. Washington, D.C. really has lost touch with reality and this another log on the fire.

I have stayed away from the Tiger Woods thing but want to say if he wants to be a private man then he should give up taking endorsements. His golf winnings are his day job but Tiger as a person is a brand and he trades on that image.

Here is my version of the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. It is the one my Grandma had in her little house and when she moved to the nursing home.

Tomorrow I am going to talk some college football bowl results along with a token mention of the Vikings game.
