Last week TechCrunch broke a story Completely Unsubstantiated Google/YouTube Rumor that was later carried by the Wall Street Journal about Google acquiring YouTube.
The story was dismissed by many in the mainstream media saying that no one would pay that much and because the story was broke by a blogger that it may not be legitimate.
Looks like they were wrong again.
