On a vote of 12-1, Council Member Cam Gordon wanted to take a look at the final contract, the Minneapolis City Council approves the wireless deal with Minnetonka based US Internet, Minneapolis OKs Wi-Fi install.
I know Qwest is bringing up what may be some reasonable objections to the deal but at the end of the day my attitude is lets get it done. Besides, not being a big fan of Qwest anything they have to say goes in one ear and out the other.
While I am concerned about the extra cost of the modem needed, sounds more like a signal booster than a modem, this is still an opportunity to bring Internet access to those who up until now could not afford it.
