More news from this week’s Minneapolis/St Paul Business Journal, JobDig buys Fetchster's assets.
I was really hoping that Fetchster would make it on their own but after meeting with the folks at JobDig back in May I expect they will able to use the technology. Come to think of it, they could have given me the tip on this. (I could have had breaking news.)
From the article:
The technique is called "spidering," and it's becoming a more popular tool by up-and-coming job boards that can search many sites at once. But newer aggregation search-engines, such as SimplyHired and Indeed, search only the big job boards such as Monster.com
Also:
JobDig will continue to develop the software's functionality; it may take some time before it incorporates Fetchster into its own software.
It will be interesting to see how JobDig incorporates the software. Hopefully I can get some more information from them and report back.
