The primary responsibility of the Information Architect (IA) is to meet the product/business objectives by applying research and user-experience best practices to organize information in ways that are meaningful, intuitive, and add product/business value. The IA is critical to the success of each interactive project. Success requires thorough understanding of all aspects of user experience practice, including interactive strategy, usability, persona/scenario development, interaction design and information architecture.
The IA must be a team player that is able to collaborate with all internal teams to create and document site architecture via task flow diagrams, site maps, content models, wireframes and related deliverables. The IA reports to the Senior Design Manager.
The IA conducts and writes competitive analyses, conducts best practices research, creates detailed site-map and wireframe documents, and works with the Product and Engineering teams to insure project vision is realized. The ability to understand and communicate complex user interfaces and detailed information requirements is essential. Experience conducting usability testing is considered an added value but is not required.
The IA uses various research methods to understand customer needs, business requirements, and brand-related design issues, and uses these findings to create documentation that satisfy all three. This person is able to work in a collaborative, iterative and agile fashion by incorporating incremental improvements into architecture throughout project evolution.

Position Overview:
The Software Web Developer has intermediate experience with Microsoft web site development, Client/Server Windows applications and a very good understanding of relational databases such as T-SQL, SQL Server or Oracle. This position requires strong Microsoft ASP.NET experience and the ability to develop complex custom applications to meet the specific business needs of the company. The candidate should have some experience with web based applications and e-commerce related sites. Best practice, functional and process knowledge of consumer web e-commerce engines is a critical part of the position. Web experience and understanding in areas such as: customer registration, checkout, shopping cart/basket, product catalog navigation, product detail, and other standard web site attributes are highly desirable. The Web Developer will work closely with Senior Web Developers, Business Analyst, QA, and Business Owners throughout the full life cycle of projects.

Principal Accountabilities & Authority:
-Enhance and support Web Internet and e-commerce systems.
-May be required to meet with business analysts and business owners on new functionality requests and production issues and develop technical specifications based on ShopNBC standard specification development.
-Develop applications using standard Microsoft development tools such as Visual Studio.
-Develop using C#, ASP.NET, HTML, and JavaScript.
-Unit test applications using ShopNBC standard testing methodologies.
-Accountable for meeting delivery dates on assigned projects and tasks.
-Support the business during and after hours as needed.
-Other duties as assigned.
Education:
-Bachelor's degree (B.A.), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
-3+ years of software development experience
-2+ year in e-commerce, retail, or web development segment
-2+ years of .NET programming with C#
-Has experience in designing, developing, deploying and supporting Internet sites.
-JavaScript, .ASPX, and HTML experience is a must.
-Knowledge of .NET framework and Libraries for .NET 2.0 and 1.1.
-Relational Databases - T-SQL, SQL Server, and/or Oracle experience.
-Familiar with UML and Agile/Iterative/RUP development methodologies is a plus.
-Capable of self-starting and leading development efforts. Multitask capable.
-Able to support after hour escalated issues needing attention and works well under pressure.
-Practical application of creative solution solving with the determination to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-Knowledge and use of various diagnostic methods to solve web site issues or problems.
-Understand the benefit and use of a multiple environment system development process, such as: development, test, stage and production.
-Strong sense of responsibility and working in team orientated environments.
-Curious and adventuresome spirit.
-Experience with working with defect tracking software, such as Bugzilla or other similar products.
-Knowledge and experience with a variety of testing methods, such as: unit, system integration, stress, and load testing for Internet sites.
-Multi-Tiered Systems experience
-SQL Server Development (writing stored procedures, complex SQL statements, indices, etc.)
-Experience with XML, XSD, XSLT; familiar with XML DOM and .NET XML namespace.

Business Analysts
Experienced in requirements development for application development and package selection projects including Use Case development experience. Additional desired skills include working knowledge of RUP, experience with logical data modeling, RFP writing, user acceptance test case development, and ability to conduct user acceptance testing.
Microsoft Developers
Operating Systems Experience with Windows .Net, and databases MS SQL Server, MS Access, and Oracle. AND / OR demonstrated ability in ASP (non.Net) development using Visual Studio 6, as well as knowledge of Visual Basic or C++. Capacity to utilize Object Oriented Design and Development (OOD), Use Cases, UML, and RUP.
Project Managers
Ability to manage software development and package selection projects for CRM Effectiveness, ERP, Financial/Accounting, or Data Warehousing projects. PMP certification, Six Sigma certification, and 5+ years experience managing projects of ranging sizes.
Java Developers
Working knowledge of Struts, EJBs, JSPs, JDBC, XML/XSL, and HTML. Must demonstrate J2EE industry standards and protocols, object modeling and Use Case abilities, as well as being experience in Java, SQL, C/C++, Shell Scripts, Unix, Linux, Windows, MS SQL Server, and Oracle.
Quality Assurance Analysts
Shows ability using TestDirector, WinRunner, LoadRunner, RUP, and defect tracking tools. Language experience in Shell Scripts, PERL, and SQL. Knowledge of operating systems Windows, Unix, and Linux and databases such as MS SQL Server, MS Access, and Oracle.
Data Architects
Familiar with and able to implement leading database, modeling, ETL, and delivery tools within the business intelligence market. Skilled in data analysis, best practices, data mitigation, enterprise data workshop, and data size estimations.
